Frugatti's

I loved the shrimp fettuccine it was delicious, everyone else in my table complained about their steaks not being cooked how they wanted it. Instead of returning it they just ate it because they were hungry overall we had a good dinner. I think the place is really nice and cute. The walls in the place need cleaning.

Our first date night out in Bakersfield and this place did not disappoint. 50 min wait on a Thursday evening around 630... tells me this place had a good chance to make a first impression. We enjoyed the atmosphere and decor, and the kitchen was fun to watch work. We ordered a glass of wine, Caymus California which was $16 and I thoroughly enjoyed both the wine as well as the price point. It could have been a $25 glass, it was that smooth. I had the Eda's lasagna and my Wife had the spicy gnocchi for dinner. The lasagna was wonderful and cheesy! Great flavor and hot from the wood fired over I would absolutely get that again. The Spicy gnocchi was delicious. Definitely had some spicy from the sausage but the sauce was light and oil based it seemed. I thought it tasted very good and spicy level was noticeable but not over powering. My Wife on the other hand thought it was pretty spicy and asked for some Alfredo sauce in hopes of mellowing out the spicy. She was blown away by the Alfredo sauce and said that's what she's getting next time, "anything with that Alfredo." Overall the dinner was fantastic and we'll happily return and brag about our delicious dinner for our first date night here. The service was good when she made it around, seemed like she was the bartender AND had a couple tables or something... she was just extremely busy which we could see and understand, and we appreciated the service when she did get a chance to make it over. Unfortunately the strawberry lemon cheese cake at the end wasn't the highlight for us at the end like we were hoping but we'll be interested to try something else the next time.

My only complaint is the same as others. It took way too long to get our food. We were sitting 1.5 hours before our food came. The chicken on my salad was barely warm and my oven baked pasta was cool enough to handle the dish. The food was still fantastic though. The tortellini was good and the sirloin (arrived after our other dishes) was thick and cooked correct. The staff were friendly and the decor was very nice. We also sat way too long waiting for our check. Honestly, the food was good but not sure I would go back.

First time here since it was built. I must say the restaurant is so beautiful inside. Definitely great energy! Our waiter Andrew was amazing. Making us feel welcomed. He recommended delicious dishes. Thank you to him for that! We are definitely coming back!!

4.3/5. Food and vibes were great. We got the keto pizza, stuffed mushrooms, barciola, and pesto linguine and they were all delicious.

Frugatti’s Restaurant is the longest relationship I’ve had with any Italian restaurant here locally — over 9 years of visits and they’ve consistently delivered on both taste and atmosphere. Dining here feels like stepping into a place with a rich history, where the flavors are as comforting as the environment. The service has always been warm and attentive, the drinks are crafted with quality, and the desserts seal the experience perfectly. It’s a place that never disappoints and always welcomes you back like family.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Bakersfield. Staff and servers were welcoming and helpful. Food was good portions and well seasoned. Will be back for sure.

Garrett was my server tonight. This was my first visit here and I was recommended to come here by a new acquaintance. She said it was her favorite Italian restaurant! Well, on Garrett's recommendation, I ordered the shrimp scampi. Oh my gosh, the pasta and the shrimp were unbelievable. I finished off the evening with Mama's carrot cake. Fresh sponge with creamy icing. Just perfect. If you are looking for great Italian fair and great service, check out Frigatti's in Bakersfield. You won't regret it!
